Our Story
Where we came from

FOUNDER
JAKE HAMILTON
Artist. Father. Fighter. Builder of Men.
Jake Hamilton is a global communicator, creative entrepreneur, and unapologetic disruptor of comfort and compromise. Known for his raw honesty and prophetic voice, he’s spent over a decade traveling the world—speaking in schools, churches, and stadiums—calling men to wake up, tell the truth, and do the work.
But Jake’s not interested in fame or followers. His mission is simple and sacred:
“I want to spend my life throwing keys into prison cells.”
Whether through music, teaching, or mentorship, Jake challenges men to reclaim their identity, fight for their families, and live for a legacy that will outlast them.
The FIGHT is the outflow of that calling.

2010
The Wake-Up Call
On stage in front of 17,000 people at Jesus Culture Chicago in the All State Arena.
The next morning, face-to-face with the woman I loved and father figure in our life.
No affair. No addiction. Nothing hidden. No secrets. But she was done. And she let me know it.
While I found what others would call “success, I was losing the one thing I loved most.
Nicci (my wife) told the truth. I finally listened. That moment shattered the illusion of balance and forced me to begin the real work—reclaiming my life from the inside out.

2011
Green Rooms & Quiet Confessions
We started sharing our story as we traveled in green rooms, churches, and back corners of conferences. What we found was haunting: everyone was struggling—but no one was talking about it. Pastors. Leaders. Power couples. All wrestling with disconnection, resentment, and regret.
We weren’t alone. And that realization changed everything.

2014
OneFlesh Is Born
We launched OneFlesh, a marriage movement built on telling the stories that shape us—our wounds, our desires, and the work it takes to rebuild what’s been broken.
We weren’t offering formulas. We were inviting people into sacred honesty. And the response was overwhelming.

2015
The Turning Point: Reach the Men
After a year of pouring into marriages, a pastor friend pulled me aside:
“If you really want to save marriages—you’ve got to reach men. Because when men go, the whole house goes.” That one line changed the trajectory of our work forever.

2019
The Search for Tools
As my sons were becoming teenagers and I realized something terrifying:
I had no map to guide them from boyhood to manhood.
That sent me down a path of rediscovery—
John Tyson’s Primal Path, the documentary “The Work”, Robert Bly’s Iron John, Dan Allender’s To Be Told, Martin Shaw’s mythic storytelling… The seeds of The FIGHT were planted in those pages.

2020
The Garage
I invited 16 men to my garage. Only 8 showed up.
We didn’t have branding. We didn’t have a plan.
We just had one rule: Tell the truth, and don’t flinch.
We practiced on each other for years—griefwork, shadowwork, storywork, firepits, and brutal honesty. We became brothers.

2021
The First Fight Weekend
In Denver, Colorado, something broke open.
Tears. Rage. Laughter. Forgiveness.
Twelve men doing the kind of work you can’t fake.
That weekend changed me. And it became the model for everything that followed.

2021
The Rebellion Spreads
From the Virgin Islands to Idaho, Dallas to Florida—we led over a dozen Fight Weekends across the country.
Each one different.
Each one sacred.
Each one proof that when men come alive, everything changes.

2024
The Arena Launches
We built what we wish existed when we were falling apart.
The Arena—our private online platform for men ready to reclaim their identity, rebuild their family, and secure their legacy.
Not a social network.
Not a course catalog.
A brotherhood with structure, fire, and follow-through.

NOW
The FIGHT Is a Global Movement
What started as a broken marriage has become a worldwide call to arms.
A sacred rebellion against passivity, shame, addiction, and despair.
A place where men learn how to tell the truth, do the work, and finish well.
Because we believe one man, fully alive, can change everything.
